This chair is good for a seat in a kids room. It is a little small. It is good for a quick solution for someone to sleep. When opened, the area still inside the chair is hard and not cushioned. It gets more comfortable if you put a pillow inside the seat when it is opened up.Sleeping with your head at the foot end is better also as long as you are not too tall.

The assembly instructions that came with the futon frame were not in english...that made assembly a nighmare. And the mechanism to fold futon up and down as a bed is not easy to use or figure out.

We purchased this as an extra bed in my home office. It set up quickly and fit in the space perfectly with both sides extended so I was very happy! The black was a little boring so I added some colorful throw pillows and got lots of compliments from friends. I slept on it to try it out and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! No lumps or bumps, just smooth and supportive. Slept well! I had looked at some futons at local furniture stores and they were much more expensive but hadn't felt comfotable at all after just a few minutes of testing them. I am very happy with this purchase!

Was everything it promised to be.

We needed a quality looking chair for a small area near the fireplace that also blended in with the decor without looking like a piece of dorm furniture. This chair was perfect. No one really knows that it is a futon. Best yet, it serves as a perfect toddler-sized/child-sized (up to approx. 4' tall or so) bed for sleepovers or a night by the fire. The arm-rests make for a perfect bed rail so a child won't accidentally roll off the bed. I paired the chair with the Highland Leather futon mattress/cushion (it also came with a coordinating leather pillow) which gives this chair a cozy, high-priced look for a moderate amount. The Highland mattress has dark brown leather on the top and sides and a brushed leather bottom for use as a mattress. I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of this mattress. It seems thicker and more substantial than the image shows in the product description.

Mine arrived broken. It's been over a month and no support. Quality product but lousy customer support.I would buy this futon again but not from this company.

Good value for the money; not the easiest to assemble;[...]

Not too difficult to assemble. Definitely need at least two people. Very well made and sturdy. I actually ordered this item in the Natural for a 16 year old boy's "media" room. The color is very nice and the storage places in the arms are fantastic. This is definitely something that will work well in his dorm room at college or as a spare bed at home. Purchased a 10" futon mattress that fits very nicely. Would definitely recommend this futon to anybody.
